Can't do 1600x1200 with my Sony G400

Have had a few different video cards, few different OS's, and none of them can do 1600x1200 (in any refresh rate) yet everywhere I look it says it can do 1600x1200 @ 85HZ.

Max resolution according to various D3D games (3D Mark 2001, Max Payne, Quake III, etc) is 1600x1024, whats goin' on?

Current Video card is a Leadtek Winfast TI500 (GF3 TI500)

Do you have the drivers installed for the monitor? I can do it with no problem. Just make sure you have the drivers for the monitor installed, and uncheck plug and play monitor if you are using Win98/ME once you installed the drivers.

I have one of these that died, Sony is still "fixing" it and will be for "up to the next 15 business days"

This can do 1600x1200@85, right? The box said so, but I would have to use Powerstrip or something as the .inf stated 75hz.

Try using Powerstrip to force a resolution.
