Cant display second screen. Help

I have my computer connected to an avr through an hdmi line and then connected with an hdmi line from the receiver to a tv.
This has worked before but now im not receiving any signal. The computer however recognizes the tv but the tv continues to say no connection.
The reason i say the computer recognizes a second screen is if i go to selct resolution and such I have two monitors which i can see and choose. I also have it set to that the screens are duplcated and I can move a window over to the other monitor but obviously cant see it once its over there. Any ideas on what to do?
