can't delete temp internet history

i've tried deleting the temp internet history folder and it locks up. tried both bulk delete and individual files. when i delete individual files it works for a couple of files and then locks up. according to spybot s&d and adaware i have no spyware (if that could affect this) and av scans are negative. running win2k and i haven't installed or updated anything recently. if u guys have anything to suggest i'd appreciate it.
 
Are you trying to delete the temp files within the temp folder or are you trying from the IE settings in control panel?
 
You use Tools, Internet Options, Delete Files?
or
Tools, Internet Options, Settings, Edit, Select All, File, Delete?

If neither work you'll have to go to C:\ Windows etc and drill down to the INTERNET files folder that way.
If that doesn't work, Open a command prompt, Start, Run, CMD, Enter. Then navigate to the temp INTERNET files folder and delete it there.😉
