can't delete file

Interesting problem here. One I have no idea how to fix and I am not a noob to computers, winXP etc..

Basically, I have a RMA (real media) file that I am trying to get rid of. The standard delete doesn't work. A message pops up stating "access is denied, this file is in use by anothe rprogram" However, this file is not in use as far as I can tell. I've tried switching the properties of the file and all that and have had no luck. I've tried the same stuff in safe mode and under an administrator account. Also, I've tried shutting down all non-system processes and attempting to delete the file after that to no avail.

Anybody know how I can delete this file? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can try safe mode, at start up keep on pressing F5 - F8 I forgot which one it is. Go into safe mode and delete it.
