Can't Delete Directory

TrevorK

Senior member
On a client's FTP site, some guys created a warez distro (DivX, etc...). I was cleaning it up and deleting it, but I can't delete certain directories. I assume it's because of those silly directory names they use...

How can I delete them?

Thanks
Trevor

What is the message? Is it saying that you can't delete it because of some sharing file violation? If so close your sever ftp and anything that's using a file in this folder...

No, it is not a sharing violation. It says that the file cannot be found....That's why I suspect it's something to do with the directory structure...

They probably used ascii charactors. Thit alt-255 and you will get a underscore "_" That Windows can not recoginize, and shows a file not found. You have to use the alt-255 to remove it.
