Olympus - my friend has one of the cameras that brand and its 3.3 megapixel and im not sure if its the same one but when i took a picture there was quite a delay compared to my canon A70 which there was barely a delay between shots. And the olympus seems to use mroe power? Correct me if im wronge but they might have improved it.

Hehe thanks for the help I think I'll end up going with the a510 from Canon lol...I've read reviews and for $167 shipped you can't beat that the other two both cost more than I expected and the c-725 that I thought I might get has bad reviews. Another Canon whore I guess...

Don't know how you came up with those 2 choices....

But something similar you may also want to consider is the Panasonic FZ15, FZ20 or FZ30

I have a DMC-FZ1 (modded to a 2), and love it.
The models above are a little more high-end than mine, but more similar to ones you've mentioned.

image-reviews.com (or something like that someone suggested it up top as well) the olympus I just liked the Z1 is proven to be one of the best out there with 10x+ zoom.

I had an Olympus C-3020Z... the optics were great... but as someone mentioned, it was kinda slow. Battery life wasn't a problem, I could fill my 64 MB card with about 100 pictures and didn't need to recharge them, but it used 4 AA's. I also didn't like the color how it came off the camera. Seemed over saturated.

I bought the S5000 off of FS/FT and love it.

Got it for $225 shipped with bag, 4 batteries + charger, and 256MB XD card.

Was looking at getting a Canon S1 IS and decided to take a look at it while I was in Best Buy. It was OK (couldn't figure out how to open the flash tho  ) but wasn't worth the extra $100+ IMHO

I'm personally a 'Canon Whore' as referred to above and I'd recommend anything Canon that fits your budget, but hey, that's me. ;)

I have a friend who's had good luck with his 2MP Olympus...it's about 3 maybe 4 years old now. Works like a charm and shoots *GREAT* pictures.
