CPU: Q6600
CPU Cooling: ultra 120-extreme with S-flex F
Ram:G.Skill CL5 4gb ddr2 800mhzLink
Monitor: Dell 2407
Case:Antec p182
PSU: Corsair 620hx

I would like to overclock to a minimum around 2.8-3.2 for 24/7 use with 1:1 ratio

I can't decide on what motherboard i should get

I'm not sure about video card as yet until after AMD launch this month but currently I'm leaning towards an 8800GT

Parts suppose to be purchased within 3-4 weeks from now

This rig would be used mostly for gaming and benching and would be my first rig where i would fully explore overclocking in preparation for my WC rig next year

I have a similar build. p182, corsair 620 watt, 2407 lcd, but an older c2d e6400. I went with the gigabyte p35-ds4 rev2 mobo. so far, so good. stable and lots of features.

Thanks for the article but i'll wait till after Nvida Chipset launch next week before i make any decisions though it isn't a peroframnce improvement it might have better prices and more mature 680i bios either that or i might go with an x38 asus board since it seems to have less problems than p5k i like the p5k deluxe(p35) but i have to read up more about the raid and Sata problems
