Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I feel overwhelmed by all the information (reading articles/posts), so I'm asking you guys..
1) What is the "best" video editing computer setup, concerning motherboard, CPU, and RAM only - I've gotten a few parts in mind, I know what kind of video capture card, audio card, OS, hard drive and DVD burner to get (Canopus ADVC-100, M-Audio Audiophile 2496, Windows 2000, Maxtor 120 GB 8 MB cache 7200 RPM and Sony DRU500A..)
2) Can anyone find solid and reliable motherboard/CPU/RAM parts for under $600? (I might be building my system..)
3) As long as frames don't skip *hardly* and allows me to edit movies and switch scenes around almost flawlessly, I'll be happy - I know that I will be overclocking but do yall think that I should wait for Springdale MBs to come out ? (I'm ready to buy an ASUS P4PE with onboard Firewire..)
4) I've given consideration to power supplys, as well - would 350 watts be enough ?
As for overclocking questions..I will save that for another post..
Thank you.
