I need some help deciding if a peltier would help overclock any further or if I just hit a wall. My duron 600 is at 950 at 1.8v. If I push it to 1.85v it will run stable at 970 and attempt to load windows at 1ghz (only actually gotten in once). I am using a fop-38, thinking about getting either a 72 or 84 watt peltier.

I would NOT recommend a peltier for one main reason- you need to be able to remove the additional heat away from the peltier "Hot" side. The duron puts out around 50 Watts of heat at the levels you are using, and the peltier will put out an additional 70-80 watts of heat requiring a heatsink/fan that is capable of at least 120 watts of heat rejection- no way unless you water cool the beast. The cost associated with doing this are far greater than just buying a new processor (1.2 GHz Tbird for $120). If you want to save $$ and have a more stable system, get a faster processor!! Besides, you already have a 58% overclock which is awesome- be happy!
