Can't correct my e-mail address in my Profile

I log in and go to "Profile" and try and correct my e-mail address, which is incorrect. When I click on "Update Profile" I get an error window that says:
Error: You do no have permission to access this forum.
Error Code: 578

Then it logs me out of the forums.

Any suggestions?

Yes.
Type "profile" (without the quotation marks) in the search box and click on "Search!".

I can't even figure out how to make a thread asking question about the forum..how's that for dumb? I had to reply to this one because for whatever reason I cannot find a way to do so. If no one minds, I'll ask here - is there a way to configure the thread views so that you don't have to see redundant quotes? I don't think that there is, but it would make certain threads far less painful. Shouldn't a quote be just a quote of a single post and then a multi-quote if you have more to reply to? Reading the same conversation over and over again is...well, frustrating and unnecessary, particularly when it is only a one sentence reply to a series of quotes spanning a large number of posts.
