My win2k build is totally complete...I've installed every app & driver Ill need.
I want this mirrored . My normal method is to drivecopy it to another identical drive (30GB, in this case)
However, I get weird errors when I start the copy. I'm pissed. I want a backup before I get a corrupt file or virus.
What gives?

Also, if this aint gonna work, can anyone suggest other ways?
Again, Ive been burned by drive failure many times, so I want a backup on a SEPERATE drive

What does Ghost do?
In a perfect world, Upon failure, I prefer to just pop in another harddrive and continue where I left off

Thanks

What kind of weird errors?

Also, if you have Norton Ghost, use it - it makes a perfect image of the drive and lets you either store it somewhere as a backup or copy it to another drive.

DriveCopy2 does that support w2k? Isn't it up to version 5 now?

I use Norton Ghost. It has always worked perfectly for me. You can clone a dirve to an image file and restore it later if needed. Be sure to create some boot disks though. I think there are trial versions of Ghost available.

Thanks for the reply.

Good point ., My driveCopy is old. but what does it care about win2K? I think it supports NTFS, isn;t that all that matters?
Yea, I should try Ghost. DO I need to preformat my destination drive? I have a source drive with 2 partitions,..5GB and 25GB.....Will It copy both in one shot? Will it autosize partitions, etc

DC2 does not support W2k/NTFS. The current version is 4.0. The main difference between it and 3.0 is that it handles 80 GB drives.
