Cant control the CPU fan?

So I have Q-fan disabled in bios, but I still cant change the speed in speefan, I've tried all of the controls.

My motherboard is ASUS P5QC, I remember seeing some other threads like this and I am wondering how I can increase/decrease the fan speed, because I would like to overclock.

If you disable Smart Fan in the BIOS, then the fan should run at full speed. That may or may not be enough to overclocked. Often, you need to replace your CPU heatsink with something better in order to overclock.

I have it disabled I think, would full speed be ~2058rpm? Im getting a new heatsink, but I am worried about not being able to control its speed.

What fan do you have? The fan's max speed is determined by the fan. The CPU cooler I have is supposed to have a max speed of 2000 rpm but always runs between 1500 and 1550.
