Can't control mouse in XBMC

Hi guys;i installed XBMC in Ubuntu 13.10 Salamander and when I’m inside XBMC it's almost impossible to use the mouse, it goes side to side and makes it difficult to click on anything, has anybody encountered same problem?

I think the keyboard is usually preferred for XBMC, I was not aware the mouse worked. You can buy USB remotes that basically emulate a keyboard so you can use it with a remote. I find that works best.

I have a remote similar to this: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16880101002

Works great, out of the box. Though on an older version of XBMC I had to jump through a few hoops but the latest that I recently installed on a Pi, it worked right away. Actually quite impressed at how easy it was.
