I have 2 comps...win me and win2k pro.
Both of these comps are in the same workgroup and file and print sharing are enabled on both comps.

The winme comp cannot connect to the shares on the win2k comp but the win2k comp can connect to shares on the win me comp.

The error that was reported was "Windows cannot find the path \\comp1\c". Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

You have to have an account on the 2k machine that is the same as the user you use on the ME machine.

And that account has to have permissions to access the shares you want it to see.

I have tried to create a user name and also have enabled the guest account but i still can't connect to the shares.

Windows did not ask for password but windows could not find the network location.

Did you get a log in window when the 98 machine booted up? If so, did you log in or hit the escape key? If you didn't log in (to the 98 box), then WIN2K won't know who you are to give you the shared stuff. There's settings to get around this (I think) but I beleive this is the default mode.
