I tried to connect my xbox 360 to L!ve through my router. It didn't work, so my I called my ISP to help. We tried a few things, he ended up saying I'd have to buy a new router.

We went back through and set everything up, I connected to the internet. I shut the pc off and came back to it later...no internet, can't connect.

So, I called him back, we reset the router, set everything up again and I can't connect. It tries a few times and gives up. I go in to repair the connection and it won't finish. It says something to the effect of "Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed: Clearing NetBT"

I tried a couple things I found through google, namely disabling the adapter and removing the adapter to non avail. I also tried
1. Go to "start" & "run"
2. Type "cmd" and press enter. A "DOS box" should come up
3. type "netsh int ip reset c:\logfile.txt" and press enter. THis will change the settings and create a logfile on the root directory of your C drive.

nothing.

I'm dangerously close to reinstalling windows to see if that fixes it. :(

Any ideas? Thanks!

Do not reinstall windows.

Can you connect to the internet when your PC is hooked strait up to your modem? If no, it is your isp.
If yes, can your computer connect to the internet when connected through the router? If no: 1. Unplug power from modem and router. 2. Plug modem power in, wait 10sec. 3. Plug router power in, wait 15 sec. Attempt to connect again.

Thanks Tizyler. Ended up being a setting with the router that the isp couldn't figure out... I had to check Enable NAT. I found this through trial and error...
