Microsoft is in Washington - the state of Washington is in a Corona Virus lockdown mode. I expect things like this to happen.

It downloaded 3 emails and then went back to coughing up errors.

Slow internet could be just one of the reasons though. It could be the server itself is slow, like anandtech's forum (maybe caused by server updating, reindexing. etc.). 🙁

It worked fine today and that was at 4pm in the afternoon so maybe they were beefing up their servers.

Already using newer email client (first screenshot) also tried Windows Live Mail just to troubleshoot.

I really hate Outlook.com....just too bloated and slow so I read my email in the client.

I personally have given up email client for years. All I use is browser. Nothing to configure, nothing to lose, and nothing to sync. Just took a while to get used to.

I thought that WLM's http connector had been dead for years. Change to POP/IMAP as they're both supported.

IMAP works fine. Just Exchange connection is broken.
