cant connect PS to mobo

It's an older compaq presario, i took them off to install the ide cables easily. now i cant get them back on, ive tried for like 30 min, no avail. any trick to doing this, i forgot to look at it before i removed it, AHHH!
 
The older Compaq systems (and maybe the newer ones as well) have very specific 'pin' combinations in the form of little plastic tabs on the side of the PS plugs. Those plastic tabs have to match up exactly with the slots next to the plugs on the motherboard or you won't be able to attach them. It can be a pain, but if you can get a good angle where you can see the tabs on the cords and the slots on the motherboard at the same time, it shouldn't be too difficult...
