I have a question about my front headphone jack. Basically, I'd like to hook it up, as it's a pain to have to go around back and unplug my speakers, but I can't figure out how. Here's the problem: My mainboard is an MSI KT3 Ultra-2, and it has the headers for a front headphone jack, but they don't seem to work with my case (Enermax CS-3051L-S3A). I need to use pins 5,6 and 9,10 on JAUD1.
This is how they are labelled in the manual:

5 - AUD_FPOUT_R - Right channel audio signal to front panel
6 - AUD_RET_R - Right channel audio signal return from front panel
9 - AUD_FPOUT_L - LEft channel audio signal to front panel
10- AUD_RET_L - Left channel audio signal return from front panel

Then a note at the bottom states that if the front panel isn't used, pins 5&6 and 9&10 have to be jumpered to direct the signal to the rear audio ports, otherwise the rear ports will not work. This is how I have it now. Now the problem is, the only connecters I have coming from my front audio jack are as follows: "mic data", "ear r", "ear l", and "gnd". So, I have connectors to connect to pins 5 and 9, but nothing for 6 and 10. I tried connecting "ear r" and "ear l" to pins 5 and 9, but obviously this caused my rear ports not to work, as there was no return signal.

So, is there any way to get this to work? Can I somehow splice on two more connecters on somewhere to run to pins 6 and 10? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Simple Way (Front Audio only)

1. Remove Jumpers from 5-6 and 9-10.

2. Connect the Ear_R to pin 5 and connect Ear_L to pin 9.

3. Connect the front audio Gnd to whichever pin on the header is listed as ground (see manual).

This is easiest way but the rear audio out jack will no longer work.

Best Way (Both front and rear audio)

1. Remove Jumpers from 5-6 and 9-10.

2. Cut the plugs off the ends of the Ear_R and Ear_L wires.

3. Strip and "tin" (coat thinly with solder) the ends of the Ear_R and Ear_L wires.

4. Very carefully solder the now prepared Ear_L and Ear_R wires, each to one of the two jumpers. Be careful not to use too much solder and try to join them just to the little bridging peice on the top of each jumper. If you use too much solder then it will run down into the jumper and it will not be able to be properly fitted. Similarly if you use too much heat then the plastic of the jumper will distort and it will no longer fit snuggly.

5. Replace the two jumpers (now with Ear_R and Ear_L wires attached) to pins 5-6 and pins 9-10 repectively.

6. Connect the front audio Gnd to whichever pin on the header is listed as ground (see manual).

This is the best way because you will now have both the rear and front audio out jacks working. Note that if you plug in headphones to the front jack then the rear output will NOT automatically shut off. You will still need to turn off your speakers manually when using the headphones.
