Sound sliek either a bad disk or the drive is reading it wrong.

Have you tried another drive? or even computer? to see if it is the disk or your system

Oh and also, wrong forum. You will get help in software or general forum

sorry....thought I might get more responses here

It's a brand new copy....dvd is clean...no scratches....I have also tried installing it off an image of the dvd and it still gets the same error....?

I've tried to warn people about this in a few different threads here. DO NOT buy the DVD version. I had similar problems and it was a b*tch to get around.

Got the DVD version, had no problem installing it. Uses 5.20 GB (5,584,825,006 bytes). :frown:

Have you honestly tried to research the problem or is this the first place you went to after the problem happened?

Do a search on Google.

Next you might try going to the games website and forum?

Long story short, it depends if you have XP or not. If so you have to slow down your secondary controller so read from the DVD at a slower rate. If you don't have XP, I'm not sure what you do.

Many people haven't had any problems installing, but I can tell you this is a problem.

I keed, I keed (sort of)

Tell me about it. I didn't realize it needed like 5 gigs to install. Sheesh.
