Can't click on hyperlink

I just reinstalled XP and am having problems with IM.

If I click on a hyperlink that launches in a new window it gives me a "The page cannot be displayed"

I know the links work because they can be launched from my other computer.

Any ideas?

Check your preferences in your IM client (need more details). It could also be a proxy issue if you use one.

Not a proxy issue. I can launch with Netscape though.
