My CPU Duron @ 900 retail HSF
I can't choose between video cards. My choices with limited budget:
Geforce 2 MX
or Geforce 1 32MB DDR
or should I break the bank and get a GTS 32MB DDR?

I play games at like 1024x768 and once in a while I will play games at 1280x1024. I also do 3d Rendering on my computer. Dual boot Win98/Win2000 Pro

geforce 2mx is good enuf for that resolution, but if you can go for a gts 32ddr
dont get a gf256 32ddr because it uses a slow gpu which hinders the ddr performance

Go over to the FS/FT forum & get a GF2 GTS for $188 shipped. My P3 966/GF2 GTS gets 140+ fps on Q3 fastest, & 90+ at 1024x768x32 with all the options cranked up.

And $188 is a hell of a price, only $60 more than a GF2 MX.

i actually have the exact same problem!!!

geforce2 MX seems a bit too poor on 1280*1024 doesn't it?? I'm still pretty unsure though, so some good replies would be cool!

I'm tellin' you, $188 is a pretty good price for a GTS...

;)

Oh... I should mention something, those frame rates are with the GTS at 220 core, 400 memory. Stock will be significantly slower, but most of the GTS's seem to make it up to this level.

I bought one of the GF2 from the forums and it has been great. I have a Cel2 566@850 and it runs everything smooth. Good Luck.
