Can't change sig?

I'm having trouble changing my sig?

I type something else, and click update and it reverts back to the old signature.

Help?

One reason new signatures might be rejected is if the resulting HTML code is too long to fit the limits, which I think is 256 characters. Try a short signature as a fact-finding step. Any good?

I even tried just a few characters. no luck

Make sure you clear both password fields before hitting the update button. I had a little trouble myself until I realized that what was happening was that the top password field is automatically filled in and when I would try to update my profile, it was also trying to update my password too(which didn't work because I had unintentionally left the second password field blank).
