can't change profile

I got a pm from a mod that said my email addy was invalid.. I checked and sure enought it was a dead addy that i used years ago. Problem is when log on i go to profile and try to change it and get error message saying i have to log in when I already am ... how to fix?/?
 
Are you trying to use a banned email address? Check the FAQ at the top of the page to check that.
