Can't change multiplier?!

Ok, my boss just bought a bare bones Athlon 1.2 GHz system. Bios is reading 900 MHz, so I go in to change the multiplier to 12, and I can't move up or down the listing to change it. What's the deal?

It's an American Megatrends BIOS. I don't know much about the motherboard or anything, it seems like a bug or something...cause the arrow keys aren't moving the highlighted item.

Anyone know what I should do?

This problem has been posted a thousand times. You need to change the FSB from 100 to 133 either in the bios or via jumper on the mobo, don't know which.

No, this post hasn't been posted 1000 times,

My problem is, when I press the arrow key, the highlighted box won't move. So I can't select the section to change anything....understand?

I have a 1.2 GHz machine at home, when I changed the system bus to 133 by computer wouldn't even boot...I needed to have it at 100x12. Is there something I am doing wrong? I have an ASUS A7V133

Ok, no one is understanding my question.

I know how to change the multiplier and all that junk.

I can't physically move the arrows over the spot to change the settings....it aint the keyboard either...it's like the BIOS is broken or something...and I am asking if anyone else has had this problem....

So you're trying to change the multiplier through the BIOS setup screen? Maybe the BIOS screen is just displaying the setting, and the actual multiplier setting is done through jumpers. Did you look on the motherboard for multiplier jumpers? Maybe I'm not understanding you.

oooooh....I'll have to look into that. This is only the second system I've built so I thought all BIOS' were able to edit that...

thanks a ton.

i mentioned many posts above that not all bios'es let you adjust the multiplier

Sorry, I didn't know that jumpers could be used to change settings...so I wasn't understanding you earlier...thanks for your help everyone!
