Can't change email address due to character in username.

I have a new email address and when I try to update my profile I get a message that says my user name is invalid because it has a special character.

I can login and post just fine, but am unable to edit the profile due to the _ in my username. I haven't been active in the forum in quite some time, but am a long time member and would hate to have to create a new user account due to my change in email address. Any help would be appreciated.

You only said to take the underscore out, not just "change it."

Thanks, I sent a PM yesterday and haven't heard anything yet. I was hoping maybe one of them would run across this thread. I wouldn't even worry about it except I have some hardware I'd like to sell and it is required that I display my email address.
