well i leave my computer to go out for dinner, i come back and i have my windows screen saver on, but what else is there???? 350+ RED DEAD PIXELS! man i cant catch a damn break, this week is just not mine, now i gotta go get a new monitor.

oh also are dead pixels supposed to move or am just finding more cuz as the windows logo moves, more pop up, you don't think it had anything to do with the dead pixel buddy i ran a couple of times last week was it?

At least you have an LCD to bitch about having dead pixels for, and what more, a computer to hook said LCD up to, and an internet connection to get said computer online with.

At least you arn't a 7 year old girl in Kuala Lumpor who had to make said electronic gadgets.

are you sure it's dead pixels and not burned-in afterimage of the windows movement?

its a dell, but im not the orignal owner, and im not sure how old it is, its a dell e171fpb.

my friend has the same videocard as me, the same THING happend one random day, he has the same card, saem manufacturer (xfx) and everything. heres a ss of whats happening to me, when i drag along the xfirw box its like an etch a sketch of red lines devloping but if i refrsh the monitor it all goes away, and now that i think of it, i have had alot of artifacts on CS:S latley

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but dead pixels stay dead right? You arn't just going to get 350+ showing up at once out of the blue right?

New videocard time buddy.

That doesn't sound like a monitor problem to me.
Sounds like bad drivers, or maybe a video card overheating.
Did you restart the thing?

The problem is the vid card, prob. fried memory, your friend swapped his dead card into your box?

no my friend is online 5 states north of me, also i hooked up a diff rig , and no "holiday lights" so now i guess i gotta RMA the vid card to XFX or newegg? (i bought it from newegg)
