Can't burn a boot iso cd?

One common error is to treat the destination disc as a data disc, and burn the .iso file to it. Instead, the "Burn Image" mechanism needs to be used. Free programs such as DeepBurner support this functionality.
 
yup, I've tried that with nero but no luck ... there was one image that worked, PVT image for Tivo, all the rest were coasters.
So I think I'm doing it right, just don't know if some specific image I'm suppose to dl or some setting in the bios.
 
If it were a BIOS issue, you probably wouldn't even be receiving the bootable media error - at least it's trying to use the drive as a boot device. I'm not sure what else to try.
