Can't burn 12x in Win2k *Solved*

I just received my plextor 12/10/32s today and I can't burn anything at 12x in win2k sp2. I tried using nero 5.0.4.8 and clonecd 2.8.4.3 and get media errors. I booted into win98se and tried to burn the same media at 12x and it worked flawlessly. It also reads faster (at clonecd)in win98se. It took 4 min to read in win98se vs. 6 min in win2k.

I'm puzzled. Any suggestions?

That's funny, Neor only lets me do 8x with my 12/10/32x in win2k...

My Plex 121032s burns just fine in 12X w/win2K and SP2 installed. Sorry

For the record, I do 12x fine in Win2k with Nero 5.5 on my Lite On 12x10x32...

You guys install ASPI layer in win2k. Mastertech01 mention that to me. Will try that.

I get buffer underruns on my Sony Spressa 10x4x32x in W2K. What can I do?

make sure you have dma enabled

Check, and digital CD audio support is off too.

Both were off when the buffer-underrun occured. Made 3 coasters. :|

Ok Finally solved the problem. The new Adpatec driver for the scsi card sucks. Used the Microsoft driver and works fine. Made me format too for no reason, oh well. Learned something.
