Can't BOOT with a Floppy disk on a KT7-R !!! HELP

Gomce

Senior member
I can't boot with a floppy disktte on my KT7-Raid.
It says Invalid system disk
or
Disk I/O failure
In 30 attemptes (hitting enter after the error message) one will work if I'm lucky and the
disk will but after reading the first instructions from the disk (winMe bootup disk) it gives me an
error message "Devide Overflow" 🙁(
The Floppy is recognised perfectly by the system, it works 100%, NEC floppy
Under WinMe the reading and writing to the floppy is perfect, no problems there.
Problems found only while booting.

on my other mashine (elite bx mobo, celeron 400@500) there aren't any problems with the floppy

I use the UZ103b1 bios version on my Abit KT7 Raid.
I have also tryed with 10 diskettes, the same problem.

My mashine: Abit kt7raid, duron 700 (when I'm trying booting I run it on default speed), 128 generic pc133 ram, 30gig ibm 75gxp, v7100.

Advices?

Anyone interested in giving suggestion?
Btw how can I boot from a CD, how do I make a bootable CD ?

Put the windows cd on drive and wait, and follow the screen.
You might have to change your bios, the boot sequence. Mine just boot from cd when it can't boot from floppy and hard drive.
