Everytime i go to boot into Win2k i get this error

Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
<windows 2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
Please reinstall a copy of the above file

WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX THIS???

The first thing to try is to boot with the Recovery Console and run:

chkdsk c: /r

That could quite possibly solve the problem.

I wish you luck I had that exact same error about a year ago and couldn't recover it. Had to reinstall. Although I figured out during several reinstalls that the promise controller on my A7V went bad. Maybe you can recover yours.

Have you made a ERD? Maybe that will work if noggin's suggestion doesn't work.

I didn't have one either but since the hardware failure I don't know if that would make a difference. Did you try to do a repair without ERD. I can't remember what the choice is labeled but it is basicly tries to fix it without the ERD.
