cant boot from pcmcia card...help!

also is there a way i can boot the machine so i can boot directly to dos mode without using a boot disk?

You usually cannot boot from a PCMICA.

I dont know a lot about laptops however.

What are you trying to do? If you want to install windows but only have 1 bay for your CD-Rom or floppy, copy your floppy to the HD, change around the autoexec file, and then boot off the hard drive to install windows.

i have a floppy drive that connects via pcmcia...

if i cant boot via pcmcia...is there a way i can boot to dos without a boot disk?

the thing is i got a hard drive preloaded with NT4

i have a cdrom but its not bootable..no floppy drive...what can i do to boot up to dos to reformat?
