Can't boot from 2 hard drives anymore

I have two WD black hard drives and when I boot up, I get to choose which one to use. After using acronis to wipe a drive, it told me to reboot to continue the wiping. I rebooted and got an error like boot mgr is not found or corrupt. I could no longer boot up at this point.

I tried using the vista repair on reboot but no luck. I then reinstalled vista after reformatting the wiped drive and it works. Now on boot up, I don't have a choice of drives- I can only use the drive I just wiped and reinstalled vista on.

The other drive is listed in windows and in cmos and I can access it and files on it in windows. There are no errors listed in windows.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

system:
E8400
8800 gt
4 gig g skill
wd black 630 and 1tb drives
vista 32

Sorry, I wasn't sure which forum to use, so I posted in both.

That sounds easier than reistalling vista. How can I do that? Thanks for the help.

I don't got the time to give a full answer, but I suggest you use google or whatever to search for 'boot.ini' and you should see examples.

After I reinstalled vista on one drive and got it working, I again used the vista repair disk and now have the other drive working. When I boot up I get to choose which drive to use again. The second drive now says (recovered) after it.
