Here's my problem, I bought a avermedia scan converter i hooked it all up to test it, everything was working fine until suddenly i get a blue screen and the computer froze. couldnt ctrl+alt+del or nothing. so i turn of the computer manually and when i went to turn it back on it wouldnt go on. the harddrive will spin and the cdrom but it does not make the pc speaker beep sound on boot up and nothing is displayed on the monitor.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,
thanks

strip your motherboard bare...and leave only the CPU, Video Card and the RAm and see if it boots...then just bulid up from there if it does--if it doesnt' you isolated yoru problem somewhere--but i'd guess your powersupply

Sounds like a hardware problem. Disconnect all of your internal peripherals (ie..hard drive, cdrom, etc.) then take out all of your pci cards (leave your video card in). Disconnect all of your external peripherals (scanner, mouse, keyboard, etc). With only your system ram & video card installed, plug in your computer & turn it on. If you get system post then add one peripheral at a time starting with your keyboard & mouse, then hard drive & cdrom, then pci cards.

***make sure you put your pci cards in the same slot you took them out of.

Good luck:
jeff
