...but how expensive can modding get really?
I'm considering a black Thermaltake case, and then thought, since i'm getting a case with a window...MAYBE i should...but before i do, wanted to know how much a lot of you guys have spent on this. :p

to be absolutely honest, hard.forunms over at hardocp will prolly be a better resource to you. their modding community is far bigger than the AT mod community

Try modding drive bays to fit a 120 mm. I'll be doing that in less than a week. Hehehe...the fun of modding.

Lights, cables and LED fans are commonplace. Did that already myself.

modding can range from 0 bucks to even a thousand. It depends on how much and what you use to make the mod.

Lights... most CCFL kits now are under $10. Cables, under $5 each. LED fans, $5-10 each. Add up how many you need of each.

Time spent doing the work, and enjoying the results... Priceless.

Some people are lazy. For others, there's Dremel. :D

You can also spiff stuff up by cutting the fan grills off your case (so your fan spot is just a round hole, but still with the fan screw holes) and then buying spiffy finger guards ($1-10 each depending).

Note: You don't need more than one CCFL kit - I've had friends who after a while just left their CCFL off because it was so bright that it became annoying.

I've spend ~$500 - 700. Lots of change outs (fans, fan controllers, etc). Lots of stuff is just trying things out, then trying something else. But it's fun, so I don't mind. :)

First I put in Vantec round ide cables because of cooling concerns. But I noticed on the label they were UV sensitive, so then I had to get UV lights. Then of course my wiring looked bad, so I had to sleeve the power supply with UV sleeving and Uv molex plugs. Then UV fan grills, uv tie wraps, etc....
Now I'm on UV pc #5.
