Can't believe how dumb I was today

So I'm cruisin in the pimpillac an go ahead to pull on up for some food at this plaza.
Me, I take it easy when I do curbs so I slow down, go up and down, and kaput. Car engine dies.

I'm like WTF. So I brake, put four ways on etc.

Keep trying to restart like WHATS UP? HOW YOU GON DO ME LIKE THAT CAR!
And whole time I feel akward, cause you know, its in the middle of the enter/exit point.

So I keep tryin to start er. Engine don't even turn over. No chug or anything. Ok.

Run up to the phone (no cell on me...fscking parents stole it for a trip and never gave it back). So I get to the phone and there is no phone book. I call and call and call my parents and they ain't home to call towing for me.

So after about 20 mins of frustration, I look down and notice I'm still in drive. DUH.

Park, turn it, she goes.
How could I NOT have put it in park after I did all that hahaha. Hell I even lifted the hood so it made me look like I was having trouble and people would avoid pullin up behind me.

My car will still start if it isn't in park, I just gotta engage the brake. I am also in the habit of always starting by pushing the brake first (I guess something the driver ed car taught me. It wouldn't start without the brake engaged).

Wow. The fact that you would get up and out of the car without having (totally out of habit) shifted into park shows that you are very careless. Chalk it up as a goof and be thankful you weren't on a big hill.

Personally, if I run out to my car to get something and simply sit in the driver's seat, before I even open my door to get out I move my hand down as if to shift into park. :-\

Everyone has their totally absent minded mistakes. This just happened to be especially silly 🙂

If its any consolation, DWW, I locked my keys in my car in the car wash last week. The owner had to drive me home to get my spare keys. I felt pretty damn retarded...and 10 minutes late for work.

I'm not chastizing him or anything, being careless sometimes isn't an option. Perhaps I should have said "absent-minded" instead.

It's just that when you are in control of 1 or 2 ton hunk of metal riding on 10 gallons of extremely flamable and explosive gasoline, your utmost attention should be given. Again, it was a mistake, and like I said, he's lucky that nothing went wrong. Like I said, chalk it up as a goof and think about it when you are driving 🙂

I thought you were referring to your post in the mad dog thread, where you wanted the OP to club a dog with a bat or cut its throat, then take pictures for you.

Girls: "Look at that idiot"

DWW: "Heeeeyyy Ladies!"

Girls: "Hey jackass, your car is rolling down that hill"

DWW: "Ohh sh!t"

😀

I can see a dog like lassie trying to rescue a cat in his backyard, he gets a chainsaw (with camera around his neck) and starts chasing after it....
