Can't allow scripted window in IE even though I elect to do so.

Here I am at Anandtech using my new T60 laptop, which is loaded with XP Pro and IE 7 (stock), and I have changed no settings in IE 7. I'm accustomed to using Windows 2000 and IE 6 on my desktop at Anandtech and I commonly click the http button when writing messages for threads in order to place links in messages. On the laptop a little bar magically appears saying that this site is using scripted messaging and I'm asked if I trust the site to do so and if so, click the displayed X. I click it but nothing happens. Every time I try to add a link (except the long way by typing in the code) I get the same stupid message and clicking the X is useless. Any ideas? Thanks.

I tried again and it let me allow it temporarily. Why can't I allow scripted windows at Anandtech indefinitely?

Did you try adding anandtech.com to your list of trusted sites? (Either that or changing the security settings for the Internet zone?)

I wouldn't think it would give you this much grief with the default setup, though. I haven't added the site to the trusted list, and I'm running IE7 under Vista with the protected mode on. Even that setup allows me to temporarily allow creation of a link. I'm wondering if the OEM "tweaked" the IE7 setup somehow? Does IE7 show that you're using a custom or a default set of security settings for the Internet zone?
