I have a WD Passport USB drive connected to an ASUS RT-N65U router and have Samba share enabled and Allow guest login enabled. I can't seem to access my share via \\192.168.1.1 or \\192.168.1.1\passport or \\192.168.1.1\My_Passport via Windows Explorer on Windows 10. I'm getting not accessible and I might not have permission popup.

On my MacBook the share shows up in Finder under passport -> My_Passport and I can see all the folders on my folders on the USB drive.

Solved. Was due to using a Microsoft account instead of a local account. When mapping the drive, Had to either specify different credentials and specifying anything for the account name (if guest allowed) or create a local account with the username set as the same name as your Microsoft account email.

Really hope they unify and make it one, had this issue once, took me a while to figure it out.
