can't access newsgroups in OE - need help

Whenever I try to set up a news account in OE, the setup will finish, but then when it starts to download the newsgroups, it says that my mail server wasn't found. I have called swbell's tech support and all they could do for me was verify that I was using the right server and the right port. Does anyone know of any settings I could adjust to try and fix this? I am using OE 5.5.

Just go under tools and accounts and set it up manually.

Are you sure you're setting it up as a News account?

Thanks for the advice. I just changed some other settings and now it works fine.
