Can't access my router help :'( **FIXED**

so i'm setting up my router (a lnksys befsr41) because i'm getting DSL tomorrow but to my dismay i can't access my router to change the options. when i type the IP for my router it just asks to connect to the Internet. i've tried 3 different computers 2 ethernet cards and 3 ethernet cables but it does the same thing. so after all that troubleshooting i figured i needed a new router (a d-link di-604) but again same thing can't connect. my lnksys router work a couple months ago so what could i be doing wrong?


Edit It was a Internet explorer problem had to restore everything to default i r stupid

You could try deleting your current network setup in your Device Manager, and letting the system recognize it and ask for the software.

Don't forget to turn off any other running programs when installing your software.
