Hey Ive got a question here. My friend has recently been having some problems with his computer just randomly restarting on him. he thought it was the hard drives after trying some other things so he went out and got a new 80gb with the ATA133 card. He has it in his system and the problem hasnt happened since, but now theres another problem. he has his 80 in and his old 30gb is slaved. and he cant access his old user folder from XP. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I have no ideas and neither do a lot of the other people that we work with. Thanks

NTFS permissions on his old folder. The new OS install identifies him as a different user, even though he may be using the "same" id from a login perspective.

Solution:
Login w/ Administrator privileges. Navigate to the problem folders, hit Properties, and then "Take Ownership" of the folder(s).
