Can't Access Documents and Settings directory in XP SP2

I have an HP/Compaq NC8000. It's a nice work laptop with gaming potential so I partitioned off the drive and installed XP onto it again. On that second partition, I've upgraded it to SP2 but not the main partition (due to my workplace not upgrading yet).
Before I upgraded to SP2 I was able to access the documents and settings directory from my main partitions XP install but now I can't. Anyone know why?
 
duh, that was it. I added my userid under the security settings for that folder and gave it full access. Works now. Thanks.
