Can't able to image windows 7 on my new hard drive

I just got new SATA hard drive and i'm trying to put it on my current XP machine and when i'm trying to install windows 7 on it it cannot find my drive. Any suggetion. Thanks in advance.
 
First, check your BIOS to make sure the settings there will "see" the drive. After that, it should show in Windows in Device Manager. Make sure it has a non-conflicting drive letter. Also, make sure all the connections are good - and even try a different SATA cable. Make sure it is getting power as well.
