Canon t2i kit for $480 shipped?

Hi I was wondering if this was a good deal? Or is the t2i being phased out?

technically it is being phased out, since the T3i is already out

T3i mostly just adds a swivel screen, if you want that.

Personally I love my T2i. Great stills, great video, and you can adapt virtually any lens to it with adapters. I have a ton of M42 stuff, like old Zeiss lenses.

still a solid sensor, but I suppose the 18MP sensor will be phased out soon for a better one? I can't believe the 7D was a 2009 product.... heh, but you can definitely get beautiful shots with the T2i.

That kit lens isn't very good, but for the price you won't find anything better.

That price is pretty good, checked t3i and t2i prices on eBay for you and I think that's the lowest one. Considering that the lens is already $90 if bought separately. But maybe you can check the used forums too like FM or potn for a cheaper price?

Also check out the Canon Loyalty Program. The T2i should have dropped in price there too by now.
