I'm sorta, kinda, maybe thinking about possibly picking up a G11 and 270ex flash. Anyway, I was looking at the Canon OC-E3 off camera shoe/sync cord that Canon recommends and came to the price of US$60+ for this cord. I noticed that there are thrid party cords available. Does anyone have any recommendations for cheaper cords that play nice with Canon? Thanks.

OP, just get whatever sync cord supports TTL and is cheap. They're all likely made in by the same factory in China anyway.

I've been using a Promaster or somesuch knock-off for three years when I needed something in a hurry and that's all my local shop had. Never had a problem with it.
