Makes me almost wonder why everyone's been selling the SD450 and SD550 for so cheap seeing as how they were both released fairly recently. Maybe to make up for the cracked LCD problems of the previous SD-series?

Either way, we win. =]

Amazon had a large advertisement on the front page a few days ago stating that Canon had recently lowered its prices. They didn't really say why.

BTW, Amazon is now offereing the SD450 for $300 with a free 256MB SD card (or $24 towards a higher capacity card bought from them).

I just picked up the SD450 at Dell this morning for $299 (instant 15% off). I bought a $35 off coupon from a guy on Ebay for $4), and shipping was $2.22. It came out to ~$264 (plus $4 for the coupon).

Tax is like $21 to California, so I sent it to my sister's place. I'll pick it up over the Thanksgiving holiday. I'm cutting it close... I sure hope it gets there!

Picked up the SD450 from Newegg for $287 shipped. The SD card deal is not included, but was the best deal I could find after tax & shipping.
