If anyone has any of the these cameras can you venture your opinion? Thanks.

They are all small, about the same price. The Canons have a viewfinder, The Panasonic doesn't but has a 28mm Leica lens. A little wider angle.
Can you see LCDs in the sunlight? I'm used to viewfinders.

Link to the Panasonic, the other t2 cameras are very common.

Thanks for everything.

I have the SD450 and love it, it?s a bit smaller than the SD550. It's a great compact point and shoot camera. It also takes great short video clips. I've also had great luck with all the Canon's I've owned. I have never used a Panasonic. Hope this helps a bit.

I would look into the 600/630. Bot sure the top end you are looking at in the SD line but I believe the LCD on the 450 and 550 are not protected(could be wrong). This led to lots of LCD cracking issues.

I just got back from mexico with a new, borrowed, sd550.

I have to say it is a nice camera. I have a sd110 and a optio 3mp. So between those three cameras I have one item I insist on in any new camera. anti shake. I spend a lot of time traveling and in darker church type settings and have far too many problems with blur. it is a deal breaker for me now.

Also I would look for a camera with good crop options. I find myself framing pics on the LCD and then having HUGE problems when printing time comes around as I dont have anything useless to crop for a nice framed photo print.

BUT the 550 is a great camera. Exp if you want high rez images out of a compact. My dad keeps it in his pocket when he goes out on construction complaints. he loves it.

The 550's viewfiner was more than visible at all times in mexico except when I had my polarized sun glasses on. but that will be a pain on any camera.

I assume you have checked out the SD700 IS if image stabilization is important to you

I have a sd500 and its been great. I checked out one of the old Lumix cameras and noticed that the colors were extremely off; extremely saturated and hue was off. T.

The Canons are great. I have a SD400 and love it--a lot of bang in a really small package. The PowerShot A610? with larger zoom lense is also very nice and quite versatile.
