Yeah, but I'm thinking that for cost reasons it's an easier decision to cut the glass. But I can't imagine it would have been that difficult to program in RAW support...I mean...there's a thread earlier today that someone hacked the s3is firmware to allow RAW.
 
i was considering upgrading from my S3. until I read that they kept the same crappy ass EVF that is in the S2 and S3. I hate my EVF (yes, i like to use the viewfinder often). WTF! why couldnt they have upgraded the EVF?!

also same size sensor (1/2.5") but crammed in 2 more mpixels :thumbsdown:

Lots of people seem to think that Digic II (S3/G6) is better for image quality than Digic III (G7/and now S5) because Digic III uses too much noise reduction.

Also slower continuous shooting rate.

Only thing I really like is hotshoe.

But I shall wait to see what dpreview's full review has to say about it. Hopefully IQ wont suffer from the 2 extra megapixels.
