best buy has this camera right now for 399.99 plus no finance charges until january 2007. seriously that's the best part of the deal. however the camera must be 399.00 or above in order to qualify, which the s500 barely does.

i used to have a s400 until someone snatched it or it really grew legs and walked out of my apt. i've had an a60 since, but i don't like the size. if i actually read the instruction manual for this camera i might be able to take better pics.

yes? no? go find another camera? i personally don't use my camera much except to point and shoot.

"i personally don't use my camera much except to point and shoot."

Then buy something cheaper. Its good for travel and all, but if you rarely use it, you wasted $399.

but i miss my s400 so much. :( traveling with the a60, it barely fits in a small purse. i have to stuff it in my backpack. the pics still come out nice, i don't enjoy the size.

If you had an S400, then you pretty much understand exactly how good a Canon Elph is... So, I guess I don't understand what you are asking for.
