Canon S500 Speed Question

To anyone who owns a Canon S500 Digital Elph.

I use a Viking (so, shoot me) 512MB CF card with my S500. I'm wondering if reviewing pictures will be faster with a faster CF card. With the highest resolution and quality, it takes about 1-2 seconds to view the next picture when pressing left/right from the picture im currently viewing. If i get a Kingston Elite Pro (said to be a very fast card), will the time i wait when looking through my pictures decrease?

Cliffs version: is the camera just a bit slow in picture review or should i get a faster cf card?

i have an S500 and it takes about that long. i use a kingston, not sure if it's a pro or elite version. the camera is kind of slow, i guess. my husband's canon G5 is much faster and doesn't load the entire picture. it only loads a blurry one, and if you pause, then it will load the entire one, but you can definitely scroll through it without that 1-2 second lag.
