Canon S5 IS lens cap string

I was wondering if anyone knew where the string should be attached. I can't find a place for it anywhere on the body, it seems!

I have the S2 IS, and the lens cap string actually goes on the strap eyelet on the opposite side of the above illustration.
 
It attaches to the left strap fixture - put it on before the strap. The strap then goes over it.
